Terms of Service

Last updated

SocialMock is a design tool for building mockups of app interfaces. These terms set out what it is for — and, just as importantly, what it is not for.

1. What this service is

SocialMock renders editable, simulated app interfaces — chat threads, social posts and similar screens — and exports them as images. It is intended for design mockups, storyboards, tutorials, product previews, presentations, fiction and satire.

Everything produced is fabricated by you. The service does not connect to any messaging or social platform, sends and receives nothing, and has no access to any real account or conversation.

2. Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you create and for how you use it. You must not use SocialMock to create, share or publish anything that:

  • Impersonates a real person, company or organisation in a way intended to be taken as genuine.
  • Is presented as authentic — passing a generated image off as a real screenshot, message, receipt or record.
  • Is used as evidence in any legal, employment, academic, insurance, immigration, financial or official process.
  • Defrauds, deceives or extorts anyone, or supports a scam, phishing attempt or fake endorsement.
  • Harasses, bullies, defames or sexualises any person, or targets a private individual.
  • Fabricates news or spreads disinformation, including about elections, public health or emergencies.
  • Depicts a minor in any sexual, abusive or exploitative context.
  • Breaks any applicable law, or any platform’s own terms.

If you publish something made here and there is any chance a viewer could mistake it for real, label it clearly as simulated. Where the law requires disclosure of synthetic media, that obligation is yours.

We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of this section, without notice and without refund.

3. Trademarks and third-party brands

App names, logos and interface designs referenced by this service are the property of their respective owners. SocialMock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any of them. They are referenced only to identify which interface style a mockup imitates, which is a descriptive use.

Recreating an interface for illustration does not grant you any right in that brand. If you are a rights holder with a concern, contact contact@socialmock.com and we will respond promptly.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to what you create. We claim no ownership. Scenes stay in your browser unless you sign in and choose to save them; see the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the rights to any image, name or likeness you upload or type in.

5. Accounts

An account is optional and only needed to save projects. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time by emailing us.

6. Paid plans

Free features are provided at no cost and may change. Paid plans, where offered, are billed as described at the point of purchase. Statutory cancellation and refund rights apply where they apply to you.

7. Availability and warranties

The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for how you or anyone else uses material created with this service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of section 2.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above will change and continued use means acceptance. Questions: contact@socialmock.com. Security reports: security@socialmock.com.
