Set the names
Snapchat shows your own messages under ME and theirs under their username, both in tiny bold caps. Set the contact name and both labels follow.
Write the messages
Snapchat has no bubbles — this is the detail nearly every other generator gets wrong. Text sits plainly against the background with a coloured bar down the left in the sender's colour, and that bar plus the name is the whole visual grammar.
Add the status lines
Opened, Delivered, Screenshot and the streak counter are what make a Snapchat screenshot read as one. Use a System message to place any of them between the lines of conversation.
Export

How the Snapchat interface is put together
Our Snapchat skin is rebuilt from the real interface in code rather than traced from a screenshot, so the details that make it recognisable survive at export resolution. Here is what those details actually are.
Snapchat has no chat bubbles
This is the detail nearly every generator gets wrong. Snapchat renders plain text against the background with a coloured vertical bar on the left - putting the words in bubbles makes it read as any other messenger.
Names are uppercase and colour-coded
ME in red, the other person in blue, set in tiny extra-bold caps above each run of messages.
The left bar is the sender indicator
A thin vertical rule in the sender's colour runs down the side of their messages. That bar plus the name is the entire visual grammar of a Snapchat thread.
Runs group under one name
Consecutive messages from the same person appear under a single name label, not repeated per line.
Yellow is chrome, never message colour
Snapchat yellow belongs to the camera button and the avatar ring. It never appears behind message text, which is a common mistake.

- Why are there no chat bubbles?
