Set the photo and the account
Upload an image or pick one from the library, then edit the name straight in the preview. The avatar comes from the Contact section.
Write the caption and the time
Telegram writes its timestamps out in full — 24 minutes ago rather than 24m — so the time is editable text rather than a fixed format. Then choose top, middle or bottom for the caption.
Add a sticker, or none
Poll, question, music or link. A poll takes a question and two to four answers; the others take one line. Pick None if the story is just a photo.
Export

How the Telegram interface is put together
Our Telegram skin is rebuilt from the real interface in code rather than traced from a screenshot, so the details that make it recognisable survive at export resolution. Here is what those details actually are.
The photo floats — it does not fill the screen
This is the difference you see before reading anything. Instagram, WhatsApp and Snapchat all run their media edge to edge. Facebook stops short at the foot and squares off into a control bar. Telegram insets the media on all four sides with rounded corners, so black frames it top, bottom and both edges. A Telegram story mockup with a full-bleed photo is wrong no matter how good the rest of it is.
The name sits above the time, not beside it
Avatar, then the account name, then the relative time on its own line underneath. Instagram and Messenger both run those on one line. WhatsApp Status stacks them the way Telegram does. It is two lines against one, and it changes the height and the weight of the whole header.
A disc behind the overflow, nothing behind the close
The ••• sits inside a translucent circle; the × next to it is bare. Nobody else in this tool treats the two controls differently, and once you have noticed the asymmetry you cannot unsee it. It is the most Telegram detail on the screen.
Reply Privately, and it is below the photo
The reply row does not float over the image. It sits on the black surround underneath the media card, as an outlined pill reading Reply Privately with a hairline border and a transparent middle. Facebook fills its equivalent field with dark grey; this one shows the black through.
A forward arrow, not a send arrow
The icon at the end of the row is Telegram's share glyph — an arrow curving up and out — not the paper plane that sends a message. They mean different things: one forwards the story on, the other would send your reply. Drawing a paper plane there is the same class of error as an outlined Messenger send button.
Views only on your own story
Post a story and the reply row is replaced by an eye and a count. You cannot see who watched somebody else's, so a view count on another account's story is something anyone who uses Telegram will spot immediately. Leave the field empty for someone else's.

Questions about Telegram mockups
- Why is there black around the photo?
- Because that is what Telegram does. The story media is inset on all four sides with rounded corners rather than running to the edges of the screen. It is the single most recognisable thing about the screen, and the reason this is not the Instagram story skin in blue.
- Can I add a poll?
- Yes — pick Poll in the Story section, type the question, and fill in two to four answers. Past two they stack into rows rather than sitting side by side. Question, music and link stickers are there too. One sticker at a time, which is what a real story almost always carries.
- How do I show it as the second story out of four?
- Set Segments to four and Playing to two. The bar fills the first, half-fills the second and dims the rest, exactly as it looks caught mid-play.
- Where does the caption go?
- Top, middle or bottom. Three positions rather than a drag handle, because dragging needs a pointer, a keyboard alternative and a long-press fallback on a phone, and what people actually make is text in one of those three places.
- Why is the view count optional?
- It is only ever on your own story. Telegram shows you who watched what you posted and nothing about anyone else's, so leaving it empty is what makes a screenshot of somebody else's story correct.
- Can I make a story from a real person's account?
- No, and our terms prohibit it. Attributing an invented story to a real account is impersonation. Parody, teaching, fiction and design work are fine — every example on this page uses fictional accounts.
- Does it do the other messengers' stories too?
- Yes, and each is built from its own reference rather than recoloured. Signal puts the close button top-left and stacks everything at the foot; Messenger keeps an emoji reaction row; WhatsApp Status and Facebook stories are here as well, and no two share a layout.
- Can I export it at 9:16?
- Yes. The download dialog places the mockup on a 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9 canvas with a background and margin, and PNG exports at 1× free, or up to 3× on Pro.
