What makes a useful chat mockup

Is it really free?
Yes. Every built app skin, PNG export and animated video export are free, with no account required. Free downloads come out at 1× with a small SIMULATED label; Pro removes it and unlocks 2× and 3×.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Nothing is gated behind an account. An optional login exists only so you can save projects and come back to them later.
Can I make a group chat?
Yes. Switch the chat type to Group and sender names appear above each run of messages, coloured the way that app colours participants — and each message can name its own sender, so a group reads like a real one instead of everyone sharing the group's name.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes, for avatars, group photos and photo messages. There's also a built-in library of AI-generated people and scenes if you don't have something to hand — the people in it are fictional.
Is making a fake chat legal?
Laws vary by jurisdiction and use. Clearly fictional and disclosed mockups for design, teaching or fiction are generally lower risk, but no category is automatically legal. Impersonating a real person, presenting a mockup as genuine, or using it as evidence violates our terms and may be unlawful.
