The poll nobody needed
A story with a poll sticker over a photo — the shape most creator and brand mockups need.
Use this templateBuild a full-screen Instagram story — the segment bar caught mid-play, your username and photo, a caption floating over the image the way Instagram sets it, and a real poll or question sticker rather than words typed on top.
Each one opens in the editor as an editable, fictional scene — names, timings and interface details already set. Change a word, or change everything.

Use this templateA question sticker over a plain shot — what creators post when they want replies rather than views.
Use this templateInstagram has allowed four poll answers since 2022. Past two they stack, because two columns cannot hold four and stay readable.
Use this templateThe three above are the ones people make: a poll over a photo, a small business announcing a restock with a link sticker, and an ask-me-anything.
Upload an image or pick one, then edit the username straight in the preview. The avatar comes from the Contact section.
Type it, then choose top, middle or bottom. Line breaks work, so a two-line announcement stacks the way it would on the phone.
Poll, question, music or link. A poll takes a question and two answers; the others take one line. Pick None if the story is just a photo and a caption.

Our Instagram skin is rebuilt from the real interface in code rather than traced from a screenshot, so the details that make it recognisable survive at export resolution. Here is what those details actually are.
A story is one of several, and the bar at the top says which. The playing segment is half filled, the ones before it are solid, the ones after are dim. A full bar reads as already finished, and an empty one as not started — a real screenshot is caught mid-play, which is why the default here is segment two of four.
Instagram's story text is white, bold and centred with a soft shadow, sitting directly on the photo with no background band. Snapchat puts its caption in a full-width black bar instead. That one difference identifies a story faster than any colour, and it is the thing a recoloured mockup gets wrong.
Circular profile picture, username, a small grey time, then the ••• and the close ×. Snapchat's header has no avatar at all — just a name and a ghost. If you are trying to tell two story mockups apart, this row is where to look.
A poll is a white rounded card with the question above its answers, and it takes two to four of them — Instagram raised the limit from two in January 2022. Two sit side by side split by a hairline; three or four stack into rows, because two columns cannot hold four answers and stay readable. A question sticker is a card with a Type something field under the prompt. Both are drawn as the app draws them, so the answers are real options rather than words typed into a caption.
The eye and the count above the composer appear on a story you posted. You cannot see who watched somebody else's, so putting a viewer count on another account's story is a mistake anyone who uses Instagram will spot. Leave the field empty for someone else's.
The bottom of the screen is a rounded pill with a hairline border reading Send message, with a heart and a paper plane beside it. It is transparent — the photo shows through — which is why a solid grey input looks immediately wrong.
Everything made here is simulated. SocialMock has no connection to Instagram and cannot read, send or alter a real message. Do not use a mockup to impersonate anyone, pass it off as a genuine screenshot, or present it as evidence in any legal, workplace or academic matter — see our Acceptable Use policy. For general information about legal risk, read is it legal to fake a screenshot? If you publish somewhere a viewer might mistake it for real, switch on the “Simulated” label before exporting.
