Set the post at the top
Title, the u/ author and the meta line — r/subreddit and how long ago. The comment count sits in the app bar and is editable in the preview.
Write the comments
One row per comment, with its username and time. Order is the order they appear.
Nest and tag
Give each reply an Indent so the tree takes shape, switch on OP where the poster answers, and add a collapsed reply count where a branch keeps going.
Score and export
Per-comment scores are free text, and upvoted turns one orange. Full-height PNG at 1x free, up to 3x on Pro, device frame optional.

How the Reddit interface is put together

Our Reddit skin is rebuilt from the real interface in code rather than traced from a screenshot, so the details that make it recognisable survive at export resolution. Here is what those details actually are.

It is a TREE, and that is the whole difference

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X replies are all flat: one level, with anything deeper hidden behind a View replies row. Reddit shows the conversation. Each reply steps in from the left, and every level it sits under leaves a vertical hairline running down beside it. Those rails are the texture of a Reddit screenshot — draw the same comments as a flat list and it reads as any other app in Reddit's colours.

The OP tag is a third person

A small blue OP beside the username marks comments written by whoever submitted the post. It is not you, the viewer, and it is not a creator hearting somebody else's comment — three different people leave three different marks, and only Reddit has this one.

Every comment is scored, not liked

An up arrow, the score, a down arrow, inline in the action row under the text. Upvoting turns the arrow and the number orange. There is no heart on the right-hand edge and no count stacked under an icon, which is what TikTok and Instagram do.

The post is collapsed at the top

Tapping into comments keeps the title and the r/subreddit meta line and drops everything else — no image, no body. The comments screen is not a second copy of the post; that is why the thumbnail control disappears on Reddit.

Sort is a bordered pill

Best, Top, New, Controversial — in a capsule with an outline and a chevron. YouTube has a sort control too and draws it as a plain label with an icon. Small difference, and it is one of the few pieces of chrome on the screen.

Collapsed replies are counted in words

34 more replies, in the link colour, under the comment. Not a button, not View replies (34) — Reddit words it as a count and so does this. Set it to zero or leave it blank and no row is drawn, which is what most comments look like.
