The brand collab DM
The message every creator gets, and the one worth reading carefully.
Use this templateBuild a TikTok direct-message screenshot with the app's real inbox: near-monochrome grey bubbles on both sides, a centred username header, centred time separators, and a single Read receipt under the newest message you sent.
Each one opens in the editor as an editable, fictional scene — names, timings and interface details already set. Change a word, or change everything.

Name, avatar and the optional activity line (“Active now”, “Active 2h ago”) in the Contact section. The name centres itself in the header.
Click any bubble and type. Both sides stay grey — the sender toggle changes the side and the shade, not the colour, because that is all TikTok changes.
Set your last message's receipt to Read. One small grey label appears beneath it; TikTok never shows more than that.

Our TikTok skin is rebuilt from the real interface in code rather than traced from a screenshot, so the details that make it recognisable survive at export resolution. Here is what those details actually are.
This is the mistake nearly every fake TikTok screenshot makes. TikTok's inbox is almost monochrome: outgoing is a slightly lighter grey than incoming, and that is the entire distinction. The pink-red belongs to the logo and the like heart. A red or pink outgoing bubble is the fastest way to spot a fake.
The back arrow sits at the left edge and the report flag at the right, with the name centred between them and an optional activity line beneath. Most messengers left-align the name next to the avatar; TikTok does not.
A 14px radius rather than a full pill. It is a small difference and it changes the whole feel — pill-shaped bubbles read as iMessage or X, not TikTok.
TikTok does not put a time on each bubble. It drops a small centred grey timestamp above a group of messages, the way a date divider works elsewhere. Per-bubble times are wrong here.
Not ticks, not per-message state — a single small grey Read beneath the last thing you sent, right-aligned. That is the app's entire read-receipt vocabulary.
The send button is an inert grey circle with a grey arrow while the field is empty, and only fills with TikTok red once there is something to send. It is the one place the brand colour appears in the whole screen.
Everything made here is simulated. SocialMock has no connection to TikTok and cannot read, send or alter a real message. Do not use a mockup to impersonate anyone, pass it off as a genuine screenshot, or present it as evidence in any legal, workplace or academic matter — see our Acceptable Use policy. For general information about legal risk, read is it legal to fake a screenshot? If you publish somewhere a viewer might mistake it for real, switch on the “Simulated” label before exporting.
